How do I sign in to Gaytherings?

There's no password. Enter your email, we send you a code, you're in.

Signing in

1. Tap sign in.
2. Enter your email address.
3. Check your inbox for a six-digit code.
4. Enter the code.

Same steps whether you've been here before or not. If there's no account on that email yet, we'll ask for a display name and create one.

Why no password

Passwords get reused, forgotten, and leaked. A code that works once and expires is harder to steal and impossible to forget. It also means we hold no passwords, so there's nothing to lose in a breach.

Your email account becomes the key, which makes it worth protecting. Two-factor authentication on your email is the most useful thing you can do for your account here.

If the code doesn't arrive

Give it a minute, then check spam and promotions. First messages from a new sender often land there, and marking one as not spam fixes it for good.

Then check the address. A typo sends the code somewhere real but not yours, and the screen looks identical either way.

Codes expire, so if you've been sitting on the screen a while, request a new one and use the most recent. Older codes stop working once a new one is sent.

Corporate and school email systems sometimes hold or strip automated mail entirely. If you're using a work address and nothing arrives, a personal address usually works.

Still nothing

Email support@gaytherings.com from the address you're trying to sign in with, and we'll take a look.

Signing out

Open the profile menu and tap log out. That ends the session on that device, and your location and community go back to the default.
