Articles on: Tickets and orders

Do I need an account to buy tickets on Gaytherings?

No. Checkout works without an account, and it always will. Enter your email, pay, and your tickets arrive.

What guest checkout gives you

One email lands in your inbox with everything in it: your receipt for the order, and your tickets attached as a PDF. It also carries links to add them to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, so you don't have to go hunting for the attachment when you arrive.

That email is the ticket. Forward it, open it, or save it to your wallet. Nothing is held back because you didn't sign up, and a guest ticket scans exactly like an account ticket.

Getting in at the event

Show the QR code. That's it. No app to download, no account to log into, nothing to set up while you're standing at the entrance.

Pull it up from your wallet, from the PDF, or from the email itself. Screenshots work. A dying phone is the only real enemy here, but the check-in team can look you up by the email you booked with or your order number. Slower, but you're getting in.

What an account adds

After you buy, we offer to create one. It takes a minute, uses the email you already entered, and adds:

  • My tickets, one place to find everything you've bought instead of digging through your inbox
  • Saved cards, so the next checkout is a couple of taps
  • Saved location and community, carried across your devices instead of resetting each visit
  • Refund requests from your ticket list

If you skip it, nothing is lost. You can create a Gaytherings account later with the same email and your past orders will be there.

There's no password either way

We don't use passwords. Signing in means entering your email and the code we send you. One less thing to forget, and nothing worth stealing.
