Someone reported my event. What happens now?

Reports are reviewed by a person on our team. Most of them change nothing, and you'll never hear about them.

A report isn't a verdict

Anyone can report anything. People report events they misread, events they disagree with, and occasionally events run by someone they have a grudge against. None of that survives review.

We look at what's actually in your listing, not at how many people complained. Volume doesn't decide it.

When we contact you

If something in your listing needs to change, we'll tell you what and why. Usually that's a specific line, an image, or a detail that doesn't match what you're running.

If we hide part of a listing, we'll tell you that too. It's normally one element rather than the whole event, and the rest keeps selling.

What we don't tell you

Who reported you. Not their name, not enough detail to work it out.

That's not us being cagey. It's what makes reporting safe, and the same protection covers you if you ever need to report someone else.

When something serious comes in

Reports about safety, fraud, or anything illegal are handled differently and can move fast. If your event is paused while we look, we'll be in touch quickly, because an unexplained pause on a selling event is a bad situation for everyone.

If you disagree with an outcome

Reply to the message we sent, or email moderation@gaytherings.com with your event name. A person will look again, and we do reverse decisions.

Reports go both ways

If you're being reported repeatedly by the same person, or you're on the receiving end of harassment that's spilling into the platform, tell us. That's worth knowing about, and it changes how we read what comes in.
