How do I request a refund?

Every event publishes its own refund policy

Organizers set the refund policy when they create an event, and it's locked once the event is published. Whatever policy applied when you bought is the one that governs your order, even if the event changes in other ways.

You can read it on the event page, at checkout, and from your ticket in My tickets.

How to submit a request

  1. Open the profile menu and tap "My tickets."
  2. Find your ticket and open the details.
  3. Tap "Refund policy."
  4. Read the policy, and if the tickets are refundable, write a short reason for your request.
  5. Submit it.

A reason is required, because it's what the organizer reviews. Bought as a guest? Create an account with the same email you used at checkout and your orders will be there.

What happens next

Your request goes to the organizer, and you'll get an email with their decision. They review it against the policy they published.

If your request falls within that policy, it gets processed. If it falls outside, approving it is the organizer's choice, and they're allowed to say no.

If an organizer doesn't follow their own policy

That's worth telling us about. Email support@gaytherings.com with the event name and your order number, and we'll look into it.

Our support team applies the same refund policy the organizer published, so we can't approve something that policy doesn't allow. What we can do is step in when a request clearly falls within the policy and hasn't been honored, or when something breaks our terms.

What comes back

Refunds go to the original payment method. We can't send one somewhere else.

Service fees are non-refundable, and refunds can be partial rather than full depending on the policy and what's being refunded.

Once processed, the money takes a few days to appear on your statement, and that's your bank's timeline rather than ours. Paid with Klarna or Affirm? The refund goes back through them and their timing applies.

If the event was canceled

Don't submit anything. Canceled events are refunded automatically.

You get the ticket price back plus any service fee you paid us, because a canceled event isn't something you should be out of pocket for. The payment processing fee is the one exception: the processor keeps it when a transaction is reversed, it doesn't come back to us, and we can't return what we never get back. The exact amount appears in your refund confirmation.
