What happens if an event is canceled or postponed?
Canceled and postponed are two different things, and they work differently.
If an event is canceled
Your order is refunded automatically. There's nothing to submit and nothing to chase.
You get the ticket price back plus any service fee you paid us. The payment processing fee stays with the processor, because it isn't returned to us when a transaction is reversed, and the exact amount appears in your refund confirmation.
The money goes to the original payment method and takes a few days to land, on your bank's timeline. Paid with Klarna or Affirm? It goes back through them.
If an event is postponed
Your ticket stays valid for the new date. You don't need to rebook, and the same QR code works.
If the new date doesn't work for you, whether you can get a refund comes down to the refund policy the organizer published for that event. Postponement doesn't override it. Submit a request from My tickets and the organizer reviews it.
How you'll hear about it
The organizer notifies ticket holders at the email address used at checkout. The event page updates too, so it's worth opening if you've heard something secondhand and want to check.
If the venue or details change
A different room, a new start time, or a lineup change isn't a cancellation, and it doesn't trigger an automatic refund. Whether it's grounds for one is the organizer's call under their published policy.
If something doesn't add up
An event that quietly disappears, an organizer who stops responding, or a canceled event with no refund after several days is worth telling us about. Email support@gaytherings.com with the event name and your order number.
